The Indie-rock band Welshly Arms can transition from ballad to triumphant rock sound more seamlessly than any group of artists I have seen. They pull an audience into their music with grit and grace. Based in Cleveland with a huge fan base circling the globe, Welshly Arms' live performances are a force of reckoning. I have heard Bear Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE refer to Sam Getz (lead singer & guitarist) as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Bri and Jon Bryant provide vocal support in the most emotive way. My favorite tracks performed during the Rock Boat in January 2023 included "Sanctuary" and "Stand."
